Photomicrograph - Pediculus humanus humanus (Lice)
Nikon D3 does the microscope! This is my first upload with the Nikon D3! I was very excited to see that I can use Live View to focus a microscope in real time while viewing the subject on my computer monitor! Pediculus humanus humanus (the human body louse/lice)... 1/80 sec, ISO 200, 4x objective on a Leitz Wetzlar Ortholux microscope. Very shallow depth of field. You might be surprised to know how many planes of field there can be on a microscope slide. This is a composite of 3 stacked photos
